After each newspaper issue is published, my staff and I begin brainstorming new article ideas for our next issue. As the Editor-in-Chief, it is my job to keep our staff focused on producing the best publications possible. I am privileged to be able to work with such a diverse staff. We have members that participate in sports, members that are a part of organizations such as band and the student council, and we have members that do a little bit of everything. By having a staff like this, we are able to cover all areas of the school (academics, organizations, and sports) more easily.
Our staff includes students from all grades, freshman through senior; I enjoy working with all of them. It’s rewarding to see the younger students develop their interviewing and writing skills and it’s great to have the older students that are willing to help on the bigger projects. Furthermore, as the editor, I help with laying out pages of the newspaper and editing the final copies before they are released to the printer. I also am in charge of setting deadlines and making sure the staff is meeting them on time. |
