Hello!  I'm Dylan Babcock, a senior at Lincoln Jr/Sr High School in Lincoln, Kansas.  This is the website that I created to showcase my work as a high school journalist.  I took my school's intro journalism class during my freshman year and quickly found a passion in the subject.  The journalism program at my school allows for students to take part in both the school newspaper and the yearbook.  Coming from a small school, I have been lucky to be able to work on both staffs and learn about multiple things in the media world.  During my junior year, and again this year as a senior, I have had the honor of serving as the Editor-in-Chief for our newspaper, The Leopard Prowl.  It has been a difficult, yet highly rewarding job.
Even though I have worked more on the newspaper side of the class, I still layout pages and brainstorm ideas for our yearbook.  This allows me to continue growing my skills in a number of areas.
In the fall, I am planning to attend Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.  While studying there, I hope to be a staff member for the university's newspaper, as I'd love to continue writing and developing my journalistic skills.
